관심분야
후성유전학 (Epigenetics/ Chromatin Biology)은 다양한 외부변화 및 자극에 의해 DNA 염기서열의 변화 없이 유전체 상에 발생하는 다양한 화학적 변화에 따른 유전자 발현 조절과 전사 후 조절 변화를 일으키는 기전을 이해하는 학문입니다. 또한 이러한 후성유전적 변화의 인과관계에 따른 정상적인 생물학적 경로 및 질병을 유발하는 다양한 기전을 이해하는 학문입니다. 본 연구실에서는 연구 목적에 따라 embryonic stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), primary cultured neurons, mouse disease models 등의 동물 시스템에서 다양한 분자·생화학적, 전유전체적 (Transcriptome 및 Epigenome), 전단백체적 (Mass-spec 기반 분석) 및 동물행동학적 분석법과 같은 다학제적인 접근법들을 사용한 포괄적인 분석을 통해 중요한 생명과학적 질문을 해결해 갑니다.
